Question-changing guests on reservation?

Hoping someone might know the answer to this. I booked a room on a bounce back discount offer for my husband and me for this fall. We don't think we can keep the reservation. However, I would like to see if my parents can go in our place. Would we be able to change our reservation to their names and keep the same discount code on the room? Thanks!

I don't believe you can change out the name of the lead person on any reservation. You can change all the other names, but not the lead. And I'm pretty sure that bounceback offers aren't transferrable.

Exactly correct.

Last year, we booked two rooms; one for me and one for my neighbors. We love each other's company and they wanted to tag along. It was natural to book it in Alex's name.

When the CM asked what we were celebrating, I was proud to say we were celebrating Alex's return from Afghanistan, there was dead silence for a moment. She insisted we book it in Holly's name, just in case and we did. She said if Alex could not check in, there could be issues.

Thank god, he did come home, but it is a good thing we did, just in case.

And as PP stated, BB's are not transferable because you book it specifically for you when you are at the resort.

The pp is correct in that lead guests usually cannot be changed. Also, since it is a BB reservation, it had to be booked for the person that was at Disney at the time it was offered. If one of you were still able to go, Disney would probably work with you regardless of who was the lead guest and add others on, but I don't think they will convert your reservation into someone else's name entirely. You will have to cancel the existing reservation and make a new one in your parents names, therefore, losing the BB discount.
