dumb question

I see lots of members.. Buying now for a trip to Disney.. but pay before they leave.. How does this work? and is it more $$$ or do you save doing it this way?

I think you might mean booking a package. When you book a MYW package you pay a $200 deposit at the time of booking and the balance is due 45 days prior to arrival.

If you book a room only you only pay a 1 night deposit and pay the rest at check in.

sorry yes meant package..

thank you.. dancin Disney style

now off to look for a package..

Most trips I have been on do their booking this way.
For instance, any all-incl. vacation in the Caribbean I have been on only required a $250 deposit per person and the balance due 45 days before departure.
Have fun planning your Disney Vacation Pkg!!!

We usually book our disney trips way in advance sometimes more than a year ahead like we did for last Christmas' trip. As the pp said $200 is due immediately and I usually just pay the rest off a few hundred at a time, more if the exchange rate is good, less if the exchange is poor at the time. By the time we hit the 45 day mark, it's "magically" paid for. Disney does not charge interest so it works for me. Come to think of it they earn interest on my advances, but it sure is a painless way to pay it off. :)

thanks everyone.. I am so used to buying and traveling last minute.

any good sites you can recommend?

disney..
I want to look into a package. But really have no clue. :confused3 This will be my 1st time staying on site.

I use the Disney World website to get an idea on pricing for the vacation but I always call them directly to book.
I also keep an eye on the DIS boards, especially the Codes & Rates Subforum which can be found under the Resorts Forum.
It is here that I am able to find out which public deals are going on.
Also when you go onto the WDW website, sign up w/ your email. You might get a PIN code sent to you, which is a special offer that Disney randomly emails to people and has not yet made a public special.
YOu might also want to sign up for the free DVD which is also on the WDW website.
And did I mention, DIS??? :)
