Question - adding days to park hopper

Hi - I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. We have 5 day park hoppers we bought through my husbands work benefits at a discount before the last price increase. We are thinking of adding a day when we get there. Do we pay the difference between the price listed on Disneys site for the 5 day and the 6 day ($10) or the difference from what we actually paid for the tickets and Disneys list price for a ticket (approx $60)? Can they tell how much we paid for the ticket when they scan it to add the day? Thanks so much

HOWEVER:
Be sure to USE your original tickets to go into a theme park at least one time BEFORE you do the upgrade.
THEN, go to any ticket booth or Guest Relations and ask to add another day. That cost will be exactly $10.65 (including tax) per ticket.

If you are quoted any higher price than that, nicely ask to speak to a manager, or go to another location for the upgrade.

If you use a discounted ticket at least once before upgrading you should only have to pay the difference between a full price ticket and the upgrade. If you try to upgrade it before you will sometimes only get credit for the upgraded price. There are some specially discounted tickets that can't be upgraded however.
