Alright...everyone knows there were a lot of debates over Britney's album because of Slave and the fact that she uses the word hell in her song.

So why do you think it is most parents had no bias towards N'Sync's new album? It has it's share of words...

Just curious to what you think

another words...why ban one and not the other? They are both role models for the younger audience right?

Well I've never heard the NSYNC album so I don't know of any songs with bad words. But about Britney's song, I really don't think hell is that bad of a word, so I don't know what the big deal is.

But I guess parents are more biased towards Britney because even though she's a role model, she doesn't have that good of a reputation because of all the things people say about her.

on the nsync album..if i remember correctly they just say pissed or something very, very minor!

personally i dont think hell is that bad of a word...believe i hear far worse things at school!

i think ppl are more critical of britney b/c of the way she dresses and everything
nsycn doesnt flash everything

Yeah, it's probably more because of Britney's outfits and parents already have beef with her because now their 8 year old daughter is wearing tube tops and singing "I'm a slave for you!" Besides I have listened to both albums a bunch of times and I don't even notice the "curse words." I think some parents are pretty naive. Most of their kids curse like sailors! I know, I work with them after school!!

I agree Michelle!

some parents are very naive!

epsically teenagers...maybe thats why 25% of drinkers in the country are teens and 1/3 of teens binge drink at least a month!

hey
ok my mom likes NSYNC's music...and she doesn't care whether i listen to britney or nsync...she's even come to concerts with me...

I know my parents (who can be kind of strict) NEVER liked Britney, but never had any problem w/ *NSYNC. I think that it's not just Britney's lyrics, but her image. I can totally understand why parents wouldn't want their 8 year old daughter trying to be like someone who says they want a "more sexy image" or whatever.

Your Right. Britney used to be a big role model to my little sis (9) My mom won't let her listen to Britney any more because of "hell" I really don't see what the big deal is except Britney is growing up and that's that. WDW is right about school. At my school it's all cursing and sometimes it can get out of hand. But compared to say Ludicrist or somebody, Britney is a saint.

This may seem a little forward but Britney Spears is a straight up hoe. That's why. She wears things that a VERY inappropriate for her and her audience. Her audience ranges from 7 and up. Our parents don't want their little children going around in practically nothing and saying stuff we shouldn't.

I hate Britney Spears with a passion so it this sounds bad I'm sorry. But it is the straight up truth.

Not really the truth so much as your opinion. But anywho, I used to think that too, before I realized Britney Spears never claimed to be this perfect role model and if the parents aren't regulating their children then they are to blame not her! I'm not really a huge Britney fan but if people make sure their kids know the diffrence between being an entertainer while dressing/acting one way and walking down the street while doing the same thing we wont have a problem.

It really bothers me how Britney is saying that she didn't ask to be a role model, because even if she didn't, she needs to recognize that she is one. Preteen girls really follow the crowd... if one girl decides it's cool to dress like Britney Spears, all the girls in her school will want to.
