I know that DH and DS will want the filet. How much of a surcharge is there and is it worth it?

I would also like to know about this, since I have eaten there in the past and now that DVC members get the food plan, I want to go back. :flower3:

OK - I got a little info from a Disney Dining CM. She said that any entree that is over $26 is subject to a surcharge. Wow, it seemed like she actually had info on this! ::yes:: When I asked her what the surcharge might be (set amount? price difference?) she said to ask my server. She said that the surcharge is a policy for this restaurant, but that it MIGHT or MIGHT NOT
apply. She didn't know for which items it would apply to. From what she originally said doesn't it have to apply to any item over $26?! :confused3 OK now maybe she really doesn't know! :worried: I guess what it comes down to is any menu item over $26 is charged a surcharge. I would assume that it is the difference between that and the actual menu price  If anyone who has been there can confirm this I would appreciate it! :flower:

When eating there back in October this is how the surcharged worked:

As you stated any entree over $26 was subject to a surcharge. The surcharge amount was simply the dollar amount of which the entree went over the designated $26.

For example, the OP stated that her DH and DS were probably going to want to order the filet. Say the filet was $28 dollars. If they wished to pay for that meal with the DDP that would have to pay the extra two dollars.

Basically the surcharge is whatever dollar amount your entree goes above the designated amount for which a surcharge is implimented.

Hope this helps! :sunny:
