Question about Westjet connection at Pearson.

Hi all. DW and I are considering a last minute trip to WDW and have never connected through YYZ.

We're flying WestJet which I believe is in terminal 3. So what's the latest procedure? Is there US Pre-clearance there or do we have to switch terminals? Do we have to collect our bags before customs or do we identify our bags in a picture? Is 1.5 hours enough time?

If someone could just sort of walk me through this it would be very helpful.

If you fly into YYZ and then depart to the U.S, I believe you will have to go through U.S. customs in Toronto - given the recent government cutbacks in the U.S which are supposed to affect customs and border control - I would not be all that comfortable with 1.5 hour connecting time, considering flights can easily be delayed 15 minutes without even being considered late by todays standards.

I would call Westjet and find out exactly what you have to do before booking anything.

You'll stay in Terminal 3 but go up a level or two and collect your bags up in the US connections area (not in the domestic baggage area). You'll take your bags across the floor behind the ticket agents and go through US customs and security. You'll be directed where to place bags. Also have to fill out a US entry form which you can pick up there.
This was the procedure the last time I went through with WestJet in Oct. We were coming in from Halifax but same procedure I would think.

I believe that I had an Email just last week stating that Pearson was going with the same picture Id as Montreal for your bags, so that will make things easier.
