I'm wondering, if you have a 10 and 12 yr old who would not eat an adult portion of food there...could you order from the child menu...it doesn't list the age at this restaurant...there is no way that my kids would eat any of the adult meals...just chicken fingers would be good for them. Do we have to order adult for them...or can we order a smaller portion? I know other restaurants who have buffets says 3-9 for child..but if it is table service meal...would it make a difference if I ordered a child portion?

Probably not. They would definitely not be permitted to order the child's skillet but it does not sound like they want the skillet.

If you're on the dining plan you'd pay for the child's meal with an adult credit.

We are not on the dining plan...we just don't want to waste and pay for food that is not going to be eaten. They would not want the all you can eat skillet....just the chicken fingers...wondering why that would be a problem.

It's not a problem if you dont' order the skillet. I have heard only a few reports about people not being permitted to order kids meals for anyone over 9 and none of them were from WCC.

Because the skillet is all you can eat, they won't allow an adult to get a child's skillet. But any other item on the kids' menu would probably be permitted. You would have to ask when you got there but I can't think of any reports that say you can't order kids' chicken fingers for a 12 year old at WCC.

Do we have to be part of the dining plan to make a reservation for this restaurant...we are a party of 10 and I think a reservation would be useful.

No, you don't need to be on the dining plan to eat at any WDW restaurant. You should definitely make a reservation for your large party.
