Question About Waitlists

I booked a trip for June for VWL, for Tuesday through Wednesday, and they did not have the second night or the last night available for a one bedroom. They put us on a wait list. Is this common, and do you think the 2 nights will free up? Does that mean we would be "homeless" for those 2 nights? I was considering booking at SSR for the same time period just in case, but wanted to see if anyone had any advice on it first.

Hard to say if the dates will become available. Yes you would be homeless if they don't come through. A back-up plan is always a good idea.
