Question about using VISA for GC or DD

We may end up buying 3 day non-hoppers at the gate. If so, I'd like to pre-pay somehow so I can use the extra Disney VISA reward dollars on my trip.

Question is - can you buy DD w/a VISA & get rewards? Or would I need to buy DS GCs then buy DD w/those? Can I get rewards this way? Can park tics be purchased w/DD?

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON PREPURCHASING WHY DO YOU WANT TO PAY GATE PRICES? I GUESS THIS WOULD BE 3 SINGLE DAY ADMISSIONS- YOU CAN GET A PRICE BREAK FROM DISNEY IF YOU PRE-PURCHASE. ALAMO HAS A 3 DAY HOPPER PLUS FOR A GOOD PRICE. BOTH OF THESE WOULD ACCEPT THE DIS VISA

We would be getting the 3 day - bounce back-tickets but I know they don't officially call them that. I checked into Alamo but the woman didn't have a clue what I was talking about when I asked price of 3 day hopper. We have since decided to drive anyway.

I would love 3 day hoppers but haven't seen a good source yet. Just want to maximize the reward dollars I can spend on our trip by putting aside the ticket money a little ahead of time if it can work.

To answer your original question - Yes, you will get rewards for purchasing Disney Dollars with your VISA. You do not need to purchase GCs first and then the $DD. And you can use the $DD to purchase your park passes either in the Disney Store or at the gate.
