Question about using the DP with large groups

I am so confused!! lol
We have several upcoming adr's ranging in size from just a few people, say 6 or so, all the way up to over 35.

My question is how does that work when some of those people will be paying with the DP, some will use their DDE card, and some are cash or credit??

Will we just get 35 seperate checks? Do we need to tell them when we check in how many are on the DP, and how many are paying OOP, etc? Or can we do that at the table when they take the orders??

This DP is all new to me to begin with and then with such large groups it is even more confusing. :crazy: I have done my own research but have not received a clear, consistent answer.

If anyone has had experience with this please let me know. Thanks. :)
 
You should ask for separate checks, one for each account you plan on charging to, and make sure that the servers take orders separated as you wish. It is a bit more work on your part, to make sure they put the bills together for you the way you want them, but as you noted, it's pretty complicated what you're asking for so you can save yourself a lot of delays when it comes time to pay the bills if you personally make sure the orders are taken exactly as you would want the bills created.

This isn't really strictly a Dining Plan question, but would apply whenever you need to separate bills among such large groups. The same advice applies.
