Question about using Reservation Points

We have reservation points (from a cancelled cruise) that must be used between 6/1/14 and 5/31/15.

We would like to use them to book another cruise. Question is: can I combine these reservation points with 2014 UY vacation points to come up with the total we need? (All of our points are direct purchase, so we're not restricted from using them for cruising). Just wondering about "combining" points.

From the Home Resort Rules and Regulations 3. Reservation Points. Reservation Points are Home Resort Vacation Points used to reserve accommodations at non-DVC Resorts, except accommodations available through the RCI® External Exchange Program. One Reservation Point is equivalent to one annually allotted Home Resort Vacation Point in the Central Reservation System. Reservation Points have no other relationship with or comparison to Home Resort Vacation Points, and Reservation Points are established for convenience of reference only. Reservation Points expire at the end of the Use Year in which they are allotted.

Reservation Points cannot be banked, borrowed, transferred or used to reserve accommodations through the RCI® External Exchange Program, nor to reserve accommodations at DVC Resorts. Reservation Points cannot be returned to a Club Member as Home Resort Vacation Points.

I couldn't find anything in the rules that restricts adding more of your DVC points to Reservation Points. If you cancel that cruise, you'll end up with more reservations points.

Yes, you may add additional points to your Reservation Points to make another non-DVC reservation. The only things you cannot do with Reservation Points would be to use them for a reservation at a World Passport Resort or a DVC Resort. They can be used for non-DVC Disney Resorts, Disney Cruise Line, Concierge Collection and Adventurer Collection.
