Can anyone give me some information about using points for a reservation at one of the resorts? Can we use banked points? Are there any restrictions about time frame as to when you can use points to make this reservation{example: certain number of days from when you are going}? Not sure I am asking this question correctly...but any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

yes you can use banked points.

you can not make a reservation (The date you make the reservation - not the dates of the reservation) within 60 days of the end of your use year.

Once you book a resort, you points become "Reservation" points and may not be used at a DVC resort or in an Interval International Exchange if you were to cancel the WDW resort reservation.

The $75 exchange fee is waived on the Disney Resorts.

You can book at the 11 month mark in most cases

Is there a minimum stay requirement - or can you book for just one night?

Just to expand on this, you can make a reservation within the last 60 days of your use year, you just can not make the ressie AND stay there within the last 60 days of your use year. You can do one or the other. Does that make sense?

I am not sure this is true, I could be wrong, but I think you can use your points including 60 days or less out at any resort in the Disney Collection and all DVC properties. I know you can at DVC because I have done it many times.

Hi, icy-dog. Yes, you can use your points within 60 days of the end of your use year. You can also make a ressie within 60 days of the end of your use year. What you can not do, is make a ressie inside of the last 60 days, and stay within that same 60 days. This, as far as I know, only pertains to The Disney Collection.

Thanks for all the info...I am still trying to digest all of this and how it works with our situation. I may have more questions later. Thanks again.
