Question about using Promo Codes

My sister and I are taking parents on one last trip to disney with just the four of us (both of us will be married by next summer). There's not too many rental car options near us, so we're going to be using Avis. I found a decent code to use with Avis from rentalcodes.com and it says the source for the code is Abalone Travel Website. My question is: If we use that code to reserve the car, will we have to present anything to Avis saying that Abalone helped us or can it just be a code for anyone to use? First time renting a car, can't you tell?
