Hi,

I've planned a lengthy stay in Orlando/WDW for later this month thru July. Are there many attractions at Universals that would interest a 5yr old girl? We're definitely going to Sea World, but I wanted to check out Universal's especially for my DS 13 who won't be with us on this trip, but will definitely be back in Orlando on a future trip.

Any suggestions from experience would be appreciated:) :rotfl: :cheer2:

Hey Cinderpals,

I want to direct you to a Kid's Guide to Universal Orlando from the Universal-Excitement website. It highlights the things to do that a 5-year-old will definitely enjoy, as well as height requirements.

My Universal Orlando Kids Guide

Plus, with the opening of the High In The Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride in Islands of Adventure, there'll be even more for kids to do in the next few weeks.

I think a five year old girl would have a blast! Ds had just turned 5 when we went for the first time and he loved it, mostly because of Spiderman, but I think girls would love...

Cat in the Hat, Carousuessel, Sinbad, Barney, Madagascar characters, Dora, Scooby and Shaggy, the Animal Planet show, Curious George, Shrek, Jimmy Neutron, ET, Popeye, quite a lot actually. Also, I've seen Olive Oil and Fiona spend extra time with little girls.

I had ds look at the little clips on the website beforehand and made a list of what I thought he'd like best and did those things first.

The thing I love most about taking a younger kid to the Univ parks is that you don't do as much walking, so they don't get as tired. Also, there doesn't seem to be as much fuss over getting the perfect picture, best spot, etc. It's just more relaxed and ds tends to behave better when we're not stressed or in a hurry, plus maybe it's because we're usually surrounded by older kids kids...monkey see, monkey do maybe, LOL.

I would think a 13 year old would love everything. Have fun planning!
