Question about tux measurements

We're going to rent our tuxes through Carolyn allens, and all of the boys have gone to professionals to get their measurements done.

However, some of the boy's sleeves were measured from their spine out along the outside of their elbow and along to their wrists, whereas others have been measured from their shoulders out to their wrists...

Who can tell me which measurement CA uses?

Tux places (in the US, anyway) use the measurement from shoulder to wrist.

We measure from the middle of the back to the wrist as that is how our shirt sleeve sizes are listed on the actual shirts we use. Even if you cannot get that particular measurement we can easily determine what it should be with the shoulder to wrist measurement when we have height and weight. We have had a lot of orders come in with the shoulder-wrist length so we have figured out what it would correspond to in the actual sleeve length.

So either is good!

also, don't hesitate to talk to CSs. they are excellent with communication, either email or phone. go straight to the source!
generally, you still go there to make sure the stuff they give you fits. my husband and his son tried theirs on, nad they had to make some adjustments. my brother wasn't getting in until the sunday before our tuesday wedding. he had some slightly differing measurements (he went to have them redone), but his stuff they pulled fit fine(thank goodness!!)!!
