Question about transportation

I am going to try to book a chef mickey adr for 7am for our trip next year.Problem is the park doesn't open until 9, so how do we get to the contemporary? We are staying on property, but the busses don't run that early, and neither does the monorail. Is there another option besides taking a cab, or driving to the contemporary, eating, and then having to drive back to Cbr, and then take the bus back?

The reason we want an adr that early is so we can see the welcome to the magic kingdom show.

1. That info is incorrect.
The resort-to-park buses begin running at about 6:30AM every day.

2. No need for the monorail (although it is possible that the resort monorail WILL be running in time, anyway.)

3. Take the MK bus (be at the resort bus stop by 6:25AM.)
When you board that bus, tell the driver that you are headed to the Contemporary for breakfast.
It is likely that the driver will take you directly to the Contemporary either before or after the MK stop.

If the bus driver can't take you to the Contemporary, then exit at MK and walk the 6-8 minute trip
to the Contemporary.

After breakfast, walk back to the MK gates.

Not sure about how early the buses go to the parks, but once you are at Contemporary, you can just walk to MK (and don't have to worry about getting back to CBR). If you take your car to CR, you should be able to leave it there with your parking pass from CBR.

Max time for parking is 3 hours and then there is a risk of being towed. However, you can valet park all day for $20 plus tip.

Thanks for the info! I thought the busses didn't start running until 1 hour before the park opened. This makes things much easier!

That is a transportation myth that won't die.

One reason is because that info is (erroneously) posted on the WDW website!

Chances are good the Bus Driver will take you to the Contemporary-I was on an early Magic Kingdom bus last week and the Driver did just that for a family(after his MK stop).

That being said,the approximately $20.00 Taxi fare would remove all stress.

Also,although they do try to do the full Magic Kingdom Welcome every morning and for the most part succeed,there are mornings where circumstances force them to do shorter versions of MKW,so keep that in mind.
