My family & I are staying at The Wilderness Lodge Resort & we are wanting to make reservations at the Grand Floridian for breakfast & I'm wondering how transportation is. I'm assuming we take the bus, but just wondered how all the transportation is while staying at our resort. I saw where you can take a boat to the Magic Kingdom. If anyone can clear up transportation questions for our stay for the parks and other resorts for dining, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!!

Boat to MK
Monorail to GF

We stayed at the WL last month and took the boat to the Contemporary, then the monorail to get to the GF. The Hollywood Studios bus might stop at the GF to pick up passengers, so you could possibly get there that way. But you would have to check with the bus driver first.

You could also go to MK by boat or bus and catch either the monorail or a boat to GF.

So, the boat goes straight to the Contemporary? Hmmm...we may just do Chef Mickey's, then hit the monorail to go the Magic Kingdom aftewards. How long is the boat ride from the Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary? Just trying to figure out how much time before our reservations we should allow time for & all. Thanks for the answers so far! I appreciate it:thumbsup2

Also, we were thinking of the Cape May breakfast and was curious about transportation from The Wilderness Lodge to I guess it's the Boardwalk area.

Yes, there is a boat directly to the CR. It's about a 10 minute ride. :thumbsup2

You will want to get to Epcot (bus would be easiest) and then walk out of International Gateway to the BC to get to Cape May....assuming Epcot is open at the time. If its not, I'm thinking a taxi might be your best bet.

You could take a bus to any theme park, then another bus that goes to the YC/BC. Going to Epcot and walking to the BC would work, but it's a long walk and Epcot has to be open and you would need a park ticket. Like the PP said, the easiest way would be to take a taxi from the WL to the BC.

Either take the bus to HS and then the boat to BC. You won't have to enter a park. The other way is to take the bus to MK and then the bus to BC. In fact, that might be faster. Cape May is a great restaurant for both breakfast and dinner.

If you eat at Chef Mickey's then you can walk to MK. It would be faster than taking the monorail, since the monorail goes the long way around, to TTC, the Poly and GF before it stops at MK.

Thanks all :) Think we are going to do Chef Mickey's, as it's one of our fams fav character breakfast! We've never stayed at Wilderness Lodge before as the last two times at WDW, we stayed at the Poly & Grand Floridian, so we were use to the monorail. Excited for The Wilderness Lodge this vacation:cool1: We love the Crystal Palace too, but are going to switch it up & do lunch, instead of breakfast there. Thanks again:wave2:

Oh & I forgot.....does the boat run early for us to get to the Contemporary for breakfast? I remember one time, we had reservations at the Crystal Palace for breakfast and we were staying at the Poly & the monorail didn't run, so we were not so happy that the monorail wasn't runnning for getting to our breakfast.

I would catch a cab from WL to the Beach Club. It would be a lot quicker and you could cut it a little closer. Have fun!

When we stay at the WL, we enjoy taking the boat to the CR and then hopping on the monorail to go to the Poly and/or GF :goodvibes.

I agree :thumbsup2.
