I know DVC changed the rules to only one transfer per use year. I have already transferred points out of our account. Can I transfer points in now if I need them?

I didn't know if they meant you can do one transfer in and one transfer out. Please help as I need to transfer points in if I can!!!

Its only one transfer per year - in or out.

Also, its not a change in the rules - they just decided to start enforcing the existing rule.

The original policy was one transfer per Use Year - either into or out of your account. A few years ago DVC relaxed that policy and allowed multiple transfers - also in one direction - per Use Year. Almost a year ago, the policy returned to the One Transfer Per Use Year - either into or out of your account.

If you have already had one transfer during your current Use Year, you will need to wait until your Use Year begins to make another transfer.

let me see if i got this right, in order to trade with another member, one would have to do reservations for the other and then they could transfer points back to the first members?

our case would be we're going on the cruisenext year and some friends would like to go to hhi, but it is our home resort, not theirs. we could make the hhi reservation at 11 months for them, and they could transfer points from their account to cover the reservation at hhi to us, but we couldn't transfer points to them and they transfer points to us.

Yes, that could be done.

Also correct. However, you could transfer points to them in one use year and they could transfer points to you in the next. Again, the rule is one transfer per use year - either into your account or out of your account, but not both in the same use year.

If you have two different membership numbers, is that considered two different accounts? And so you would have one transfer per year per membership number?

Yes. I have two different membership numbers with a second smaller resale contract. I transfer either in or out of that each year into or out of my other contract. So I use my one transfer per year to transfer to myself. One transfer in for one contract. One transfer out for the other.

No, I can only use them at 7 months. They retain their resort and use year. Plus they are both OKW contracts, so it doesn't matter much anyway.

Is that restriction in place now? It used to be that your points did indeed morph into the receiving contract's kind of points. BTW, you can bank transferred points into your next use year too.
