Question about Transfering points.

Hello All, I have been looking around and can't find an answer for this, I'm hoping someone may be able to help me. I have contract at SS that I purchased 10 years ago with my mom. We wanted to make sure there were no issues passing on the contract later down the road. Well now me and my DW want to buy at the Poly. I know from reading here that you can't combine points until the 7 month window. My question is if we get the contact at the Poly can I transfer points from my SS contract at the 11 month window to my Poly contract to reserve a trip? I would make her the primary and I would be the 2nd on the contract.

Points transferred retain their original home resort and UY. So, those SSR points would remain SSR points and can't be used to reserve at the Poly until 7 months from check-in.

No. You can't turn SSR points into PVB points. The home resort booking advantage is a feature of the points, not the membership. Only home resort points can book at 11 months.

Ok, thank you! I figured it was something like that. Luckily I have never really had any problems at the 7 month window, it would be nice to relive some of the worry I have right before my window opens. But at the end of the day I'm still going to Disney so that's good enough!
