Can someone tell me when they quit making the Trails End refillible mugs? Can they still be used?
Do the mugs change every year? We have four of them from our stay at All-Star Music last June. Just wondering if I should pack them in the trailer next march....
Hmm interesting - I didn't know about the "lifetime" FW mugs.
Actually Disney promotions generally run for 18 months. So that's how long the mug design lasts.
I wind up buying a new one each year just to have it. And I have several mugs from around the resorts, but I don't think any of them are "lifetime" mugs.
There's a brown Fort Wilderness Refillable mug on Ebay right now. The bid displayed is $14.74.
Yep - that's the one!
Of course now thanks to this thread it'll probably go for $65.99![]()
Be warned that on other boards you aren't allowed to even discuss reusing refillable mugsThe refillable mug police will get you....
It actually says on the mug I purchase in Aug 2010 - "Refills available at no additional charge at the Resort Beverage islands located in teh resort that this mug was purchased through the end of your resort stay."
I just think their a great collectible and I love drinking out of mine every day at home - a little piece of disney.
You just have to trust me on this one. Back in the early 80's FtW mugs were sold as lifetime, not length of stay. I can't address mugs from the other resorts. The "lifetime" clause ended in or around 1985. In the early 90's we started buying mugs from every resort just about every year until 2007, when they went to a generic mug for all resorts. The blue, generic mug that came out in 2007 had the year "2007" branded on it. In 2008 they sold the same generic, blue mug, only without a year on it. In 2009, they came out with the current design. I'm thinking 2011 will probably usher in a new mug, but that's just speculation on my part.
You can use them until you get caught.
Crud!
Now the cat is out of the bag!
I had my eye on that mug!
I never bought one when I had the chance.
They were definitely not being sold as life-time mugs during any of my Fort visits.
But, I believe Deb that similar looking mugs were at one time sold as lifetime mugs.
I would say this one is close enough to pass for one.
