Question about trading magic pins

Someone tried to trade a dress to my daughter tonight. This person wanted the magic pins that our character was wearing, like the Driving Pin.

I assume that once you give up those pins, then you can no longer do the magic, right? Why would anyone trade those pins? (I guess you can do the quest again and get them again?)

You cannot trade those pins. It will not let you.

This is listed on the home page under FAQs, so the person who is trying to get out of doing the quests is wasting their time.

Once you give away, sell, or even take off any magic pin you can not do that magic.

The quests can only be completed once for a character, so there is no player way to get another.

I have a guess as to why someone might've tried to trade with your daughter. Some people with magic pins are trying to scam other players into "trading" them for rare or expensive items or trying to get other players to give up other magic pins simply for info on how to start the quest. I might've thought the players didn't know the pins weren't tradeable, but in one instance, as soon as I said that, the suspicious party bolted mighty quick. So, someone might've seen them saying "I'll trade you the pin for _______" and they thus thought it was tradeable.
