Question about touring with kids

We'll be in USF/IoA on Monday. We're traveling with a 2 year old and a 7 month old. We'll be utilizing their rider swap system, but I do have 1 question about it. Typically on some of the rides, they make you leave all bags outside before entering the line. When we get in line with the kids, will they let us have a bag that can be left with the person waiting with the kids?

I'm afraid of getting into a line with 2 small children that will likely be bored after about 1 1/2 minutes and not having our bag of tricks to distract them with a toy or snack or something.

Thanks!

the person that is waiting in the child swap room can hold all the bags.
the other adult switches off when they are off the ride and then you hold the bags with the kids in the child swap room.

you won't have a problem with the bags in the line.
tell the TM you need to use the child swap and they will accomodate you.

Last year at IoA we went on the big ride in Harry Potter, sorry forgotten name, but it is THE ride with the longest queue. Anyway we wanted to do the rider swap, we were in the long queue, near big gate we got spotted by attendant as we had child too small to ride, she pulled us out of queue (which turned out to be queue for lockers) and sent us on in, in what seemed to be a different queue, with our bag!

It saved Sooo much time. When u get to front, one person and kid go in waiting room, other person rides the ride, after ride, rider goes in waiting room and next person rides. Super easy.

In short, for this ride we kept the bag.

Message, when you get to gate of castle, let attendant know you want to use rider swap and you seem to skip the very long queue.

Just to let you know that if the line is out castle it's normally due to people trying to use the lockers. If you go up past them you can normally walk right past the lockers and into the ride queue. In our case we just go up the single rider stairs, normally no wait to less than 5 minutes.:thumbsup2

If it's a very busy day and the line for Forbidden Journey is outside of the main castle gates, everyone (child swaps, groups with bags, groups without bags, single riders with bags etc.) has to wait in the same queue. The only people who can skip this line are single riders who have no bags :thumbsup2
