We are going to WDW 4/24 - 5/02 and are planning on doing early entry Sunday - Wednesday. We usually do early entry and then when the park starts to fill up, we move on to the park that had early entry the day before. Is this still a wise touring strategy? I have read not to go to the Magic Kingdom on Mondays, however this is the day after it's early entry day. I hope I am making sense!!

Any help would be appreciated!!:teeth:

We found the Unofficial Guide very helpful and accurate when it came to touring plans and strategies. If you do not have it, I would strongly recommend it.

I have to agree with Anne. I have used the "Unofficial Guide to WDW" for all of our 3 trips and followed the touring plans to a "T".

The first trip I had to laugh as another family was right behind us from start to finish. The other mom remarked that it was a bit "like planning a military campaign"!

I used the book and the night before the park I would mark the attractions on the map (the ones you get at the hotel or at the theme park) with numbers corresponding with our plan of attack. I would also look at how the guide ranked the attractions for the kids.

We were flexible enough to skip one if a later attraction didn't have a line. We have always gone during the week between Christmas and New Year's so we've never been there when it isn't extremely crowded.

Happy reading!

Thank you for your replies! I do have the new Unofficial Guide, just haven't gone through it completely yet!

Welcome to the Dis:earsboy: To answer your question, yes I think EE followed by a midday hop to another park is a good strategy. Depending on park attendance, you may find it is not necessary to hop.

We do what you described - we go to the EE park in the morning then skip to the park that had EE the day before (or sometimes just another park) for the evening. We don't hop to MK on Mondays for just the reason you said. We hop to a different park instead. Usually it's Epcot, because we end up wanting to spend more time there than at MGM or AK.

Hi jcandtjsmommy,

I work for the Unofficial Guide, and wrote the computer software the Guide uses for its touring plans. From your post, I think you're saying that you're going to the Animal Kingdom for EMH on Monday, then to the Magic Kingdom. Is that correct?
