Question about tickets and packages

We have a short 2 day trip planned for May. I received a pin code which I used to book our room. I then just added tickets which, I think, makes it a package. My mother originally wanted to go with us, but now isn't sure. Can I drop her off the reservation later, or should I cancel and just rebook the room only and add tickets closer to the trip? If I do that, is it better to book for 5 (my family) and add the 6th (mom) later or book for 6 and drop to 5. We'd be staying at AoA either way. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

I would keep it as is. Booking and re-booking from room-only to package and back can cause problems in terms of deposits and discounts. You can drop her from the reservation before your final payment is due which is 30 days prior to check-in. Changes made after that may incur a change fee.
