Question about tickets and check in

Can you buy tickets from the hotel at check in? We are staying at the Royal Pacific and just wondering if I can purchase them or is it only at the gate?

Yes, you can purchase tickets at any of the 3 on-site Concierge. Royals Pacific's is just past check -in on the right. Depending on the type tickets you buy they may give you certain discount cards to use at City Walk and the parks as well.
