Question about the Walgreens near Universal (buying film)

I am staying at the StudioPlus right near Universal in June. I was told by someone at the hotel that there is a Walgreens right across the parking lot from the hotel. Have any of you ever been there? Are they way overpriced being so close to Universal? I was hoping to buy my film there, and possibly get my pictures developed there before going home. I would be interested in prices for film developing if any of you have used them.

Thanks a bunch!
Kristin

Will you have your own car?
Yes, it's across Kirkman Rd from the parking garages.
Haven't used that one, but I'm sure the prices are comparable to most drug stores.
Also, there's a Publix grocery store North of USF on Kirkman Rd that could also develope your film. Advantage here is you can pick up groceries while you're there. Bring up maps.yahoo.com and put this address in, print it, and bring it with you.

It's at the NW corner of Kirkman and Conroy. Click South on the map a couple times and now you're at Universal. See where it says Major Blvd? That's the entrance going between the parking garage and PBH. To the left is the parks where you see Backlot Drive. The Walgreens is on the East side of Kirkman, just north of Major Blvd. You could walk, takes about 15 minutes.

We've taken film to be developed at that Walgreen's and have not been pleased with the service. We will probably try somewhere else next time. Prices were comparable to other stores. The Walgreen's can't be beat for convenience of location though.

Mi madre is right...we NEVER got 1-hour service. It was either 3-hour service, next day service, etc...but we still have to pay 1-hour service (no discounts for the inconvenience). Their photo lab also closes at 9PM (to drop it off) despite their claims of "24-hour photo lab" My mom and I were at the photo lab about 8:58 or something...and there was a person in front of us picking up film. When we got up, it was exactly 9:00. Lady told us, "We stopped accepting film....." looked at her watch..."exactly now." We ended up getting to drop them off...but we were stuck having to take a lunch break from Universal, off property just so we could pick up the pictures.

I think we pissed off the lady too...our pictures were messed up (negatives fine, but bad printing job).

However, that bad printing job only happened that one time. We also see a guy, who does a good job, and is nice...but both times we got him, we had to wait a lot longer for our pictures (3 or 4 hours one time). UGH

We used it in March 1hr service took 2 hrs but prices where cheaper than beltz factory prints turned out ok no problems on I-Drive plenty of places to compete with them as well :jester:
