Question about the Visa meet & greet photo. I always thought...

So according to the description / rules & regulations, the free photo you're suppose to receive is a pic taken during the character meet & greet (which with us is usually Chip & Dale :sad2: ).

Maybe this just depends on the cast member that rings you up, but on our last visit in October the cast member who helped me let me select any photo on my Photopass card as the "free Visa" photo - without me asking or bringing it up. I was surprised and said that I thought it was the meet & greet only, but he said no it could be any.

But I did try again the following day, and a different cast member rang me up and said it was only the meet & greet.

Just wondering if any one has experienced anything similar? Any picture from the Photopass would be great! They should reconsider the promotion.

I like you did went to the meet and greet this past August. We went 3 different times. Two times with Chip and Dale, one time with Goofy. We took other shots throughout the parks too.

When we went to "check out" on our last day our CM told us to pick the 3 we liked the most. No questions, no hassles.

Having reading others experiences, I think it totally is up the the CM.

We are going in December. My plan is to ask the CM before he hand over our cards to see what the policy is...that way we can get whatever pictures we want. And I will hope for the best.

We've gotten different answers from different CMs. This last time, the pictures we took at the Meet & Greet were AWFUL. Fuzzy, and there were only 2 shots to choose from. So when we took our voucher to redeem it, the CM said we could go and try to get different pictures taken elsewhere and redeem it on one of those instead. Then the CM behind her disagreed and said that it was only for the Visa pics, and then the CM that was helping us told her that it's for all Photopass pictures, especially when the Meet & Greet photos turn out yucky.

I've only done it twice since I always forget to get over to CA in time. But each time we've been able to select any photo.

Really does depend on the cast member.

Got to pick any photo we wanted but only did this one time...We got lucky and had Mickey and Goofy and no wait at all, we did end up with one of those photos (I think?....it's been a while)
We had as much time as we wanted with the characters and when we left there was a family just walking in.

Yes it totally depends on the CM. I've usually been able to get any pix I wanted but occassionally can't. This past May they were really sticklers about it. Seemed like they were training new CMs and there were alot of Cms behind the screens. Definitely could only get MnG ones. However, once again it seems to be letting up.

If you get a CM who says no, and you don't want the MnG one, come back later-you'll probably luck out.
