Question about the refillable mugs

I know that you pay like $12.00 or something for them but where can you use them? Can you use them throughout different resorts or just the one you are staying at? Can you use them at any parks? We are staying at All-star Movies. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can only use them at your resort. I know most resorts have their own mugs. I don't know if all the All Stars share one design...if so, you could probably refill at any of the All Stars. You can't refill them in any of the parks.

We stayed at ASMo, and basically only used them at the resorts. I know many say they fill up with something when they head out to the parks, but I would hate having to carry the mug around all day.

You can only use them at your resort. We did fill them up before we went to the parks. We had a stroller, so it wasn't a big deal to through them in the stroller when they were empty. But sometimes, we would use them to split up a larger drink between the kids. Then at the end of the day, we would stop by the food court when we got back and refill. We definitely got plenty of use out of them - actually we still do. They're great to use at home too! And its a nice reminder of the places you've stayed. We have ones from Pop, AS Sports and Boardwalk.

Everyone does things their own way. My DH and I tend to carry alot of stuff w/ us in the parks. Last trip with 1 kiddo was 2 fanny packs and a backpack. Next year(2 kiddos, 1 pos still in pampers) we will haul 2 backpacks, and 1 fanny. With 2 b/ps, we wont have a prob carrying the 2 mugs that we will use in the morn, rinse in the bathroom sink andd paper toel dry, and stash for the day to be refilled when we return in the evening. Unless we just decide to leave the mug in the room after breakfast, and refill in the eve... Thats an option. Its not like we'll have a 30 min hike to the room from the food court

Definitely only your own resort. But this includes any dispensed beverage at anytime. got mine right after checkout and for 8 days that puppy stayed full of something and now its a great souvenir and hot chocolate mug. Sometimes makes me very WDW homesick when I use it though. Careful of those blues.

We had someone who used one from a different park/resort they got thiers in Japan and was able to use it over at ASMo

Honestly to me the ammount I drank even paying $50 for it I would have came out ahead

In our experience, you can use them at any resort because the people working in the food court don't have time to police it but I believe the official rule is that you only use it in the food court of your resort. This is a very sensitive subject on the disboard for some and can really get people riled up. We never bought one because we had a car and bought 2 liters from Walmart for .78 and just took the cups provided by housekeeping from our room and got ice at the food court. There was 4 of us and I know we did not spend $48 on 2 liters for the 13 days we were there. The only way the cup would have been worth it for us was if we could have used it at the parks which is a definite no. We just took a soft sided cooler in packed with water, pepsi (coke products at WDW) and capri suns and used ice from the resort machine.
