Ok, I think that I have decided on the Poly for my trip in January 2003. I have a few questions though.... One should I go for the Lagoon View or the Concierge Garden View. The idea of sitting outside looking out over the water and the MK (my two favorite things in the world!!) is dreamy, but my boyfriend is a VERY large Eater and I think that the snacks in Concierge would be a huge benefit. What would you choose?

Also, Any past experience in late January on discount codes for the Poly?

One last question..... any idea when those would be available???

Thank you sooooo much. I get so excited about this trip, it's my late graduation present (May 2002) and his early graduation present (May 2003)!!!! AND I think he's planning on asking "THE QUEStION!!!"

January is value season and odds are codes will be available, but you ptobably won't see any info on it until Oct/Nov.

While I am sure Lagoon View is pretty, you have to realize that you aren't up close to the castle. Yes it's beautiful in the distance, but the same view can be had by staying garden view concierge and just walking around the corner to the other side of the building and sitting on the beach.

If it was me, I'd take concierge in a minute. But some people seem to have to be able to see the castle "from the room". Only you can make the call on which is more important to you.

Have fun, good luck and hope he pops the question!

Good Luck in January;) My expreience with the concierge was GREAT. In MHO The lagoon veiw would be nice to have, but if it is either-or I would take the Garden veiw concierge. The staff was tremendous the food offerings were sufficient and the location of the Hawaii building in relation to the rest of the resort was darn near PERFECT. The Lounge gives you a great veiw of the Castle and the Electrical parade on the water. With cordials (liqours) and desert offerings in the evening put a enjoyable final touch to the day. Breakfast was a mostly breads and fruit thing but good enough, even for a big eater. Tikimans web site would be able to give you a much more detailed rundown on the resort. We stayed on the first floor about 4 or 5 rooms down from the office,a good location but, a better choice may be to request the 2nd floor because the lounge is on the 2nd floor and would make getting there just a little easier. You will have fun no matter where you chose to stay at the Poly. Aloha
