Question about the new promotion

I've read through a lot of the posts about booking free dining through Dec. from your resort. I haven't been able to find an answer to my question though.

We'll be there next month, and if we book this package, can we add a room for my parents even though they won't be there? Could we book two rooms, one in my name and one in DH's, and then add my parents to one room?

My mom mentioned last night that they'd like to go again next summer if we go back. I told her about this promotion and she seemed interested. It would be great if we could get it.

No. The free dining package has been released to book for Aug/Sep 2007, but you can only book it if you are staying at a Disney resort from Nov. 8 to Dec. 31. You have to show proof that you are staying at one of their resorts (not SOG or DTD hotels) and you have to book before you checkout. This is a new program sort of like their "come back" rates that they use to offer in the past to convention goers. If it is successful, it may be continued, but some of us fear that all of the good locations will be booked up, if and when this is released to the public in 2007.

Thanks for the clarification. I will be there in Dec so I will check it out. Maybe we will take a weekend trip at the end of Sept. This will be my first DW trip so we shall see how much fun we have. I was thinking if we have fun that we will make a tradition out of going in Dec to kick off the christmas season.
