Have you booked with Disney.co.uk or Disney.com? or a Tour Op?

If its booked via a UK site there is no free DDP at the value resorts, thats why many of us stay in moderate or Deluxe, with the free DDP it works out cheaper than a value.

There are so many deals and offers I am not sure what you are looking at or who you are booked with, the T&C's vary between them all.

UK free dining has finished for 2011 now so I am wondering if you are looking at the US free DDP plan?

Yes these are the us free dining dates released today

Ah.... booked thru Disney.co.uk.... didn't take the "free" dining when we booked as it nearly £1000 more for the Value to a Mod, still won't stop me calling Disney and asking :)

Isn't there a 5-day minimum for free dining?

If so, that could be where you would come unstuck as you are there during the free dining dates:

2nd-5th (3 nights)
13th-16th (3 nights)

So even if you changed to a moderate or deluxe, you might still not qualify.

Good luck with your attempt though :thumbsup2

Withbthe us free dining as long as you check in on the date that qualifies you get it for the whole duration up to 14 days

i thought that UK and US reservations are completely separate....(one can't modify the other).....
but it would be very interesting to hear the answer to this question...

Correct, if booked via Disney.co.uk there isn't a chance of this offer being added.
Other option is looking at cancelling the original booking and rebooking the new offer. Cancellation fee should be £50pp if outside a certain time period (8 weeks?)

You were spot on, but no harm in asking I once got 2 weeks at the FQ on a Florida resident discount code just for asking if there were any discounts available.

We booked free dining for early December 2009 at all star movies with US disney.

To qualify you need to book the hotel and magic your way tickets.

There is nothing to stop a uk visitor booking a US deal. They tend to come out alot nearer the time than the uk deals.

How have you booked at the moment? If you have a package booked via a travel agent could you downgrade it to a fly drive and book your hotel with disney to get free dining?

Also you will need to buy the us magic your way tickets not uk ultimates - if you already have tickets this wont work.

how did you manage a florida resident discount without being a florida resident?
from what i understand, they're supposed to ask for proof of residency at check-in...

no idea, I was speaking to the cm and told her I would love to stay at the fq, but was just beyond my budget, she said she would go and see what she could do for us, came back with a great rack rate, so we booked. Wasn't till we checked in and got our paper work that I seen how she had done it, CM at check in didn't ask for anything.....happy days :)
