question about the need for MB

So we are staying off site and have purchased tickets from Undercover.
We have not been since the new MB and FP+ system so I am learning all of this out.
How important is it for us to get MB? We aren't big shoppers, nor do we have a onsite room. . .

Also- since we have purchased tickets from Undercover. . is it possible to reserve our FP+ in advance? How do we do that.

There is absolutely nothing that a MagicBand can do at this moment that your regular ticket won't do, being an off-site guest.

Eventually, Disney will turn on some of the other features in the bands, and then it might be more useful for an off-site guest. But those are dormant right now. I'd say save the money unless you really want them.

Off site guests can book FP+s at 30 days out.

It's 30 days out for each day of your park entrance/ticket entitlements. So, you will need to schedule individually for as many days as you have ticket entitlements.
