Do all the members of your party have to purchase the dining plan? We are a family of 4 and my younger son is very picky when it comes to food. We anticipate him eating peanut butter on saltine crackers at many many meals. Can we add the dining plan for myself, husband and older son and pay out of pocket for the little guy when he decides to eat off the menu?

Everyone on has to have the same dining plan for every night of the reservation.

Well, technically if a party was staying in two different rooms, it could be possible to only do one of the rooms.

As ses1230 posted, everyone in the room must have the DDP.

But even though everyone in your room must be on the plan, that doesn't mean that they have to use the dining credits equally. The credits are pooled together under your room account and you have some flexibility in how you use them.

For instance, for a family of 2 adults and 2 children staying 5 nights under the QSDP you would get 20 QS adult credits, 20 QS child credits and 20 snack credits plus 4 refillable mugs. Under the DDP, you would get 10 adult TS credits, 10 child TS credits, and 20 snack credits plus the 4 refillable mugs.

You can spend those credit however you wish. Your could use 15 of the child QS credits to feed you older child 3 meals daily and then use the remaining child credits to make sure that the picky eater gets one complete meal each day plus use some of the snack credits to get him a carton of milk or a cup of grapes or veggie sticks. Or you can use all of the child TS credits on your older son at signature restaurants (2 TS credits each) and pay OOP for the younger son who might only want some crackers and a beverage.
