question about the Contemporary

When my DS16 was younger we had a tradition of taking his picture each trip by a Mickey sculpture (for lack of a better word) outside the Contemporary. In May we will be going with our DS4 and would like to take his picture there. Although we were there last year we never made it over to the Contemporary. This trip we will be staying off-site. I just wanted to check with all you Contemporary veterans to find out if it is still there. From what I remember it is out back kinda near the pool. It is a large image of Mickey ears made out of metal and in the middle it has a Mickey seat like thing you could sit on. I'm keepimg my fingers crossed that it is still there!

Did you ever see the pool in the shape of Mickey's Face and Ears in the back of the Gulf Resort/Disney Inn/Shades of Green.
In the old fly-overs of WDW on special TV shows or the vacation video the pool was seen right before flying over the Poly heading for the MK. I think it was the only pool in ALL WDW representing the MOUSE!
There this year small statues of the MOUSE are around the Parks representing the Birthday year of the Mouse , maybe that would substitute for the picture your seeking!

Thanks!! It sounds like I will get my picture. It's not the most scenic spot in Disney to get a photo but it serves as a good reference to see how much my kids grow over the years. We have several photos of my DS16 when he was little sitting up on Mickey. Then we took a break for a few years from Disney. He just wasn't into it (can you believe that?) But now with my DS4 we are back into the Disney spirit. I only wish I had gotten a photo on our visit last year. Another one of our favorite spots to take a family photo is in front of the Lego Dino's in DT Disney. Last year they were looking a little faded, so I'm wondering when they will come down.
