Question about the Castle???

I'm sure somewhere on the boards is the answer to this question but since I have not been on in awhile, please just humor me. I recently saw a picture of the WDW castle with new gold trim and some ornamentation, I'm just wondering if that is just temporary or if it is permanent?

I think it's temporary, for the 50th Celebration. Just like the birthday cake stuff a few years ago. While I hated the 'birthday cake castle' this one actually looks pretty to me.

It is up for the "Most Magical Celebration on Earth" in honor of Disneyland's 50th. The celebration officially begins May 5, 2005 and will last 18 months. I would expect the changes to the castle to last at least that long. Of course the changes they made to Spaceship Earth at Epcot for Y2K are still up (with a minor change) so you never know.
