Question about the "bounceback"

I've noticed alot of people talking about this.

I'm just wondering, is that special only going on during the current free dining special? Or can you book a bounceback anytime you visit WDW?

I don't know if I asked that clearly enough.. sorry if it's not put well.

I am due to arrive in WDW on December 2, and I do plan to go again next year, and I was curious as to whether that offer is extended to everyone, regardless of when they visit, or if it was only the people who came during the free dining period.

I know the changes in the 2008 DDP are a little concerning.. but I still think that it's the only way I'd be able to afford to eat at all those great places.

Anyway, I'd be appreciative of any information regarding this.

I believe the bounceback program was offered to guests at certain hotels during the 2007 free dining program (during September) for a return back during the 2008 free dining program (during September). You were to book it before you left and leave a $200.00 deposit.

If they extended it, I sure someone will post it.

We were there in September at All Star Sports and it was not offered to us.

I'm not sure by your post when you say that you want to go again if you mean another December trip, but if you're looking to prebook free dining for next summer note that last year there was a Bounceback offer for guests staying at a WDW resort in November/December 2006 to book ahead for free dining this Aug/Sept '07 - so there MIGHT be another offer when you are there this December for next summer, probably depending on how sales are going, etc.

Last years offer in Nov/Dec '06 was:

Package discounts ("free dining") only for guests staying at WDW Resorts in Nov-Dec 2006 and willing to prebook their next vacation for 8/5/07-9/29/07 began on 11/8/06, expired on 12/31/06

(BTW, the actual free dining dates have always been in the hurricane months so far to help fill resorts, and probably will never show for December stays)

A word to the wise: the bouceback offer was put in the huge folder we received when we checked in at the BC. No one ever said anything to us, it was just there. Some people have said that they saw it on the TV for their resort. Some just weren't paying attention. So, be aware--read everything.

Does this mean they're not going to do free dining anyway during that time period? I thought they always did that time of year?

Last year they did offer the bounceback in Nov/Dec as stated above. We checked out of CBR this past Saturday, and there was a couple of fliers for free dining for checkouts up to 10/12. It was extended from the original offer of checkouts to 9/28. We arrived on 9/29 and I thought I had missed it, and was pleasantly surprised to see the extended dates. The dates of travel for this new offer are 8/30/08 - 9/27/08. It must be booked before you check out.
