I will be in WDW on the 4th! I just want to know if I should just completely avoid MK that night for fireworks and go elsewhere? Is there anywhere else people can suggest to go and still get a good show of fireworks? I'm staying at CBR and had read on another board that you can see Epcot's fireworks from the beaches. Does anyone know if they get really crowded????? I have a two yr old who has a strict bedtime, and I worry he will be very cranky after the fireworks if there is a stampede to get out and he's over tired! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks! :confused3

If you actually go into the MK, plan to stake out a spot up to 2 hours ahead. If you choose not to visit the park, the beaches are a good area but might be a bit crowded. You also have to be able to give a 'reason' for parking at the resort. I'm honestly not sure how strict the gate guards will be on the 4th, since it's a pretty good bet there will be others with the same idea.

You cannot see Epcots fireworks (unobstructed) from the beaches. You can see parts of them from the bridge near the Yacht and Beach Club resorts, though.

Since MK's fireworks are later than usual that night, the little guy might be asleep in a stroller by the time they show. Will he sleep through them if he is?

You also may consider going to MK on July 3 instead since they have the same fireworks show as on July 4 (most dont know about this). The crowds are not as bad. Also it allows you to see Epcot's show on July 4, which is much better.

We were there for 4th of July in 1994, watching the World Cup too. DW, DGF at the time, wanted to ride a few of the rides that we had not been on yet and one of them was Snow White. So we get to Fantasyland and the line for every ride there was at least 60 minutes. We decided to leave the park. Well there was so many people lined up on Main Street we had to be escorted behind Main Street so we could leave the park, there was that many people there. The CM that was leading a group of us out said that July 4 is the second busiest day of the year. New Year's Eve was the first.

I would take the OP suggestion and see the MK fireworks on the 3rd and then go to EPCOT on the 4th. Maybe spend some time on the Boardwalk before going over to EPCOT so you can enter at the International Gateway. Go and eat at one of the restaurants there, they'll have to let you in for that. I don't know how long you can get a parking permit for at Boardwalk. We normally stay there so parking is not an issue.

Thanks! We arent arriving in WDW till late on the 3rd or I would go that night!!!!!!!!! I think our best option would be to hit Epcot for the fireworks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
