Question about the 40% offer

I've been to Disney 3 times in the last few years, and I'm going again on my honeymoon in May. The first three times, I went with my DM and she made the reservations each time. If my name was on the ressie but it wasn't made by me, and if by some miracle my DM has a PIN attached to her name, would I be able to use it since I was on the previous trips with her? I don't live with her, so our addresses would be different in their system.

You can always call and try, but hopefully you know that most of May was not included in the 40% off. For May the dates are May 28-June 3, so if you're not checking in between those dates you won't get it even if the pin is on your account. I know, because I had the pin but could not get it applied because my Aug trip is too early. For August you had to check in by Aug. 21 and we arrived Aug. 15. They are not flexible for the dates. Actually the CM entered the code into my account and it accepted it, but would not change the price because the dates were not allowed dates.

These are the dates that the 40% discount can be applied to:

Feb. 25-March 7
May 28-June 3
Aug 21-Oct 6
Oct 21-Nov 3
Nov 11-Nov 16
Dec 9-Dec 22

I have 4 trips planned for 2007 and missed every date possible and I'm not going during any holidays--just bad planning on my part I guess.

I don't believe you will be able to. They double check everything by addresses, etc. Have you registered at the Disney site with your own name and address? Have you booked your May trip in your own name? That will help you getting codes in the future.

Thanks for the info. I did assume this trip would fall on blackout dates, but when we booked we got 10 day No Expiration passes, so we'd be more inclined to make a second trip later in the year if we were able to use that code. I just have a feeling that it's linked to the person who did the booking in the past, and not eligible for someone in a different household just because they accompanied the PIN holder.

Yes, I booked myself this time, and I think I've signed up for every mailing list I could find! I've been a long time Mousesavers and AllEarsNet subscriber, but I don't think I was previously subscribed to the official Disney site.
