Question about Targe 75.00 BF purchase for 20% shopping pass

I wish i had read this thread this morning. i decided to go to Target last minute, at 6am. I ended up spending $105, including the $50 iTunes card deal. My receipt says I qualified for the discount but no coupon was given to me. I didn't know you had to ask for it, if it wasn't given automatically. I may go back today and ask for my discount card.

I would absolutely go back and request one! Sounds like your experience and your Target was just like ours which is why I wanted to post as a head's up. I was surprised it didn't prompt the cashier to give to us and other posters have said their experience was completely different.

Hopefully your Target will "know" it's not automatic and the employee just made a mistake and forgot to give it to you!

Like I said, it may be different with this coupon, but I know for a fact that the pharma5 and REDCard5 discounts are taken off the total at the register AFTER Target GCs have been been applied. Dollar-off coupons are an entirely different thing all together and they will have their amount taken off prior to any payment method is used.

Yep - this has been my experience too. I'm refraining from using the few $5 Target gift cards when I go Sunday and use my 20% off coupon as it doesn't make as much financial sense to do that. I want the 20% and bigger savings to come off as much as possible and not pay down with Target gift cards. I'll use my few $5 Target gift cards later when I don't have the 20% coupon.

How long did it take for you to receive it in the mail? I am waiting on one and hope I get it today or tomorrow!

DisneyFeb2013: It came quicker than I thought! I earned my 5% Pharmacy Rewards on 11/18 and it came in the mail Wednesday 11/27! (sorry- my earlier post said it came in the mail Friday. My days are all mixed up from the holiday and being off work! )

Hope your coupon comes fast!

My discount shows on the "Review & Place Order" step. Are you sure that your REDCard is checked off as the method of payment in the billing step?

At Target at 2 AM this morning I almost did not get a coupon. I had to ask for it, the cashier then said I did not spend $75. I pointed out I had spent 75.49. She gave me one with a sour look and muttering!

I cashiered this morning. The $75 is pretax. If your order was $75.49 sounds like you had not yet spent $75 before tax?

The register prompted us when to hand out coupon.

I ended up with 4 coupons. Split my transaction into two purchases totaling more than $75, and then did the same thing at another Target. I needed the items anyway and had to go to two different stores to get all my items so it worked out awesome for me. I plan on giving two of them to my siblings so they can purchase those expensive cases (not Apple brand) for the kids iPads.

Are they giving the coupons until close today?....or can they "run out" of them? It is a long drive and I was going to go to Target in a little while, but not if all the coupons are gone.......

Mine ran out and initialed my receipt to act as my coupon. We will see how well that works :/

Thanks Heather. I am not making it back there today but I'll try tomorrow and hopefully they will give it to me. If they don't, I won't worry too much. I'm almost done with Christmas shopping and am not really sure I'd use it.

Nope, the cashier wrote a three digit code and her initials. I was annoyed as its not that hard to make sure you have enough coupons, but I will try it next week. I will def be going back to the same target just in case.

The cashier told me that I needed the coupon AND the receipt when I redeem my 20% off. So, initialing the receipt is probably ok.

Does anyone know if we will be able to stack our 5% Redcard with the 20% off? I was also hoping to stock up on Disney cards at 25% off!!! What a deal!!! We already have our tickets and are staying offsite. But the cards will be paying for parking and a few meals at the parks and whatever souvenirs we buy.

Well yeah. It's on the face of the coupon. Disney cards are "entertainment cards."

I was wondering the same thing. We are going to the store- but it does not say anything about cards making up that $75 purchase.

New to Redcard, I just bought 2 $50 Disney Cards. Disney cards rang up as DISNEY, I received 5% off the $100, and also received a 20% coupon without asking.

Unrelated question: I just received a Redcard -- only have the barcode -- do not have the actual card yet. Can I add my Redcard to my Target mobile app? I don't know my complete number, I was just given a receipt and told to use that until my card comes in the mail. TIA!
