Question about Tahiti lagoon views?

Hi there! I'm going to be making my reservations today for the Poly, so hopefully someone can answer my questions please. :)

Ok so here's my questions: Are you able to see the castle from all of the lagoon view rooms at the Tahiti or is the castle visable from only some of the Tahiti lagoon view rooms? And if from some of the rooms you still aren't able to see the castle, can you still see the Magic Kingdom?

I'm sorry these may seem like dumb questions but I've never been to WDW and I'm still confused! :p I just want everything to be perfect (well close to perfect!) because I'm taking my dad to WDW as a retirement present and I want him to be able to have a great view from our room! :sunny:

Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate it!

Yes, I've checked out his website numerous times and it is an absolutely amazing site and extremely helpful! In fact, that's how I decided on the Tahiti longhouse(hoping I can get a room there). But I'm just a little confused on whether the lagoon views rooms at the Tahiti all have a view of the castle or if you can only see some of the Magic Kingdom from some of the rooms?

My sister made the reservations and "requested" lagoon views. We are going to the Poly June 20. I can't wait - but I would also like to know if we can get specific rooms and what would be perfect to see Magic Kingdom (MK).

Does anyone know if there's a gym at the poly?

There is no gym at the Polynesian but there is a fitness room at the Spa at the GF. It is a short walk from the Polynesian. Really about as close to the Polynesian as to the GF.:D I believe I read that there will no longer be a charge for using it if you're staying at either resort.

I don't know if any rooms in Tahiti are partially blocked by the foliage of the palm trees but all lagoon view rooms in Tahiti directly face the MK and castle.

Calicruiser, lagoon view is in a seperate price category from gardenview and so you book it as such. Did she book lagoon view?

Anyway, have a great time everyone.

As BCV23 stated in the above post, all Tahiti lagoon view rooms face the MK. However, some views may be partially blocked by palm trees. In March of this year we stayed in room 3030, and made the observation that while the tree in front of our balcony was cut back enough for us to have a fairly good view of the castle and MK, the room directly below us on the 2nd floor had a blocked view. We have stayed at the Poly several times (always in Tahiti) and we have had good luck with excellent views. It's difficult to get specific rooms by request, but you should have your desire for a good castle view added to your ressie. Hope this helps, and have a great trip!

Thank you very much for all of your help. I wasn't able to make the reservations today but hopefully tomorrow I will be able to. I can't wait for our first trip to WDW, it should be absolutely amazing!

I appreciate all of the information. ::MinnieMo
