Question About SWA Credits

I was just able to get a credit of $13 per person on one of our upcoming flights. I noticed that instead of one lump sum of $39 for the three of us it shows as three $13 credits.

I remember reading something here months ago about a change to the way SWA issues their credits and that you can only use a certain amount of credits per transaction. Is this still the case? How many credits can you use at a time? All three of us are booked on one reservation number.

I'm keeping an eye on our flights because there's an afternoon flight we'd prefer but it's $50pp more than the flight we booked. But if we get any more credits, it might be do-able.

Thanks for the help:goodvibes.

I am wondering this too, b/c I want to book a flight now and if I get a lower fare, how can I use the credits. So I found this on the website:

Apply Travel Funds:
Apply funds one at a time. Up to two unused tickets per passenger may be applied. Unused tickets are always applied first. Up to four of the following may also be applied in any combination: southwestgiftcards™, Southwest LUV Vouchers, leftover electronic ticket funds, and one Credit Card.

So would I then be able to apple 4 credits from each passenger from an leftover e-ticket fund and apply it to one persons ticket??

Ah, thanks for the link. So since we're on the same reservation I guess the best I'm going to be able to do is use 3 of these plus a credit card (assuming my credits don't fully cover the change). If I'm understanding that correctly.

Kinda stinks because in the past I ended up with lots of little credits for each person, but since we were on one reservation they were all lumped together. So even if it goes down again it really won't help much because then I'll have 6 little credits. I don't want to separate our reservation into three because of the check-in procedure.

So would I then be able to apple 4 credits from each passenger from an leftover e-ticket fund and apply it to one persons ticket??

I took it to mean 4 total for the reservation -- so if you're all on one confirm number you could use four but if you each had a separate confirm you could use 4 per person. :confused3

I am a little bit confused by the below from the stie. Would the credits be under the confirmation number be all under one passenger's name? Or in my case, there are 4 of us, so I would have one confirmation number and 4 passenger names. If I enter the confirmation number and enter my name, would I get all the credits from that confirmation number, or do I have to enter each passenger name separately? And if separately, do they allow multiple passenger names entered for each confirmation number? I am now confusing myself over something that should be simple.

"For Ticketless Travel Funds, enter the confirmation number and passenger's first and last name and click on the "Apply Ticketless Travel Funds" button. This step can be repeated for up to two confirmation numbers."
