My granddaughter has down syndrome - we are extremely lucky in that she doesn't have any of the serious complications that can accompany it but standing in line for any length of time is going to be a problem.

Is it possible to be allowed to let her stay in the stroller while we wait in line for the rides?

No problem waiting just don't want her to have to stand since she wears leg braces and standing as long as it can take for some of the rides would be extremely difficult for her.

Thank you for your answers.

Yes - you can ask to use a stroller as a wheelchair. That would allow you to bring the stroller into any attractions or lines and have it handled like a wheelchair would be.

Since it's so late, I will just suggest you follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread (you can also find it near the top of this board).

Post 6 of that thread is about Guest Assistance Cards and has a section about using a stroller as a wheelchair.

Thank you that was exactly the information I needed.

I have skimmed through the Disabilities FAQ before looking for the answer but since it didn't reach out and slap me I missed it.

Yes you can. We are here now. We have our daughter with a heart condition in a wheelchair. (Decided last minute over the the stroller, but the CM told me if we wanted we could do stroller as wheelchair). I actually met two families yesterday though using stroller as wheelchair for their kids with Down Syndrome. My advice is go at rope drop so you can come back to room to rest. That is what my daughter is doing now. Zzzzzzz!
