Question about Story Time Rentals

I filled out the little reservation thing on their website yesterday and I have not heard anything from them. How long does this normally take to get a conformation that they got it and they have the dates open?

I received a reply almost immediately both time I requested a quote....I had lost the previous one and send another with a different email. I didn't end up renting through them simply because their booking policies just weren't for me but I LOVED the pics of the townhomes....maybe they're out of town or something .

What about their policies did you not care for, if you don't mind me asking. This is our frist time renting a place so I want to know what to look for.

I sent another request so hopefully I get a response. I had also called yesterday and left a message that I wanted to book all 4 townhomes for next year but never heard back from them. If I don't hear back this time, I am going to pass them up and give someone else our business.

I don't mind at all. I didn't have a problem w/ them taking a damage deposit but some of the wording on the booking form left me a little leery with the credit card hold of an undisclosed amount in case of damages---I've always been weird about stuff like that lol, also....not that I expect to cancel but I didn't care for that either. I had read a thread on here from a previous poster where they had trouble changing dates and didn't want to lose any more money than necessary. We ended up renting through vacationcentralflorida.com (a townhouse). I liked the decor of the storytime better but have had great communication w/ the other.

I will say I did have good communication w/ the storytime people. I believe their last name is Yannistadis. They had even told me I could check-in early if the property was ready. I narrowed it down between them and the other and just simply chose the other due to their booking terms.

edit: btw..I actually requested quotes through windsorhillsrent.com and received TONS of responses to sort through. Another person, I think his are 5minutes2disney or something like that had really nice places.

Great - thanks for the information.

We are actually looking for 3 or 4 places that are within walking distance of each other to book. We are having a reunion of sorts down there and everyone wants to stay close to each other. That is why they would work great. I wanted to book all 4 of them (and they were all open) but have heard nothing back. It makes me wondering what it would be like if something was wrong at the townhome. How hard would they be to get ahold of?

I completely understand that! I know when I used windsorhillsrent.com I went to zillow.com and checked to see where the properties were located. Anyone I inquired about was happy to give me their address or if I had their name it was easy to find the addy...if all else fails you could rent individually through owners that are in close proximity but....the storytime would be simpler since they have exactly what you need. I hope it works out.

We just got back from a stay with Storytime. When we initially booked, they did not have the booking procedures that the PP mentioned nor did they require a damage deposit...I can understand her hesitancy because of those procedures, though. However, I can say that the owners were extremely easy to work with throughout the whole process. We booked nearly a year in advance of our trip and they were quick to call back or email when we had questions. You should probably get a response to your email in about 24 hours or so.

PS- the home we stayed in (No. 4) was exactly as pictured and wonderful!!! I would absolutely in a heartbeat book with them again

I am looking at The Magic Rentals too and they are very quick to respond. It has been 24 hours since I called and left a message that I wanted to book all 4 townhomes. Since then I have sent two different reservation requests both saying that we have called an not recieved a call back. We are trying to book a year in advance as well.
