Is it a full/regular grocery store? Will we be able to get plasticware, paper plates, deli fixings, General food International coffee (you know the really important things like instant caffiene *lol*)?

Just trying to figure out what to pack and what to figure on picking up there.

Thanks!!!!
Diane

Yes, generally speaking most of the town car companies stop at a larger grocery chain store. We have been taken to Albertsons, Publix and a Kash N Karry and all were larger stores with fair prices and good selection. The only time I imagine you would run into trouble is later at night when the groceries are not open.

Thanks TJ!!! That leaves a bit more room in my luggage :-D

Have a Happy New Year!!!!

We stopped at Publix on our way to our hotel, and it was as large and complete as the grocery stores at home! :) It's so nice to have food to snack on in your hotel room. We ate fruit and chocolate milk (we are normally big milk drinkers, but DH insisted on chocolate since it was our honeymoon, and thus more special  ) for breakfast every morning. Saved a lot of money that way!

Thanks WDWhoneymooner!

I wasn't sure if typically the stops were for party-stores (soda/chip) or more. Now knowing I can make sure the other ladies in my group have a list of what they want so we don't waste our 30 minute stop. Course I probably should call the resort the day before to confirm we can check-in when we arrive or if there will be a delay which means don't buy the milk LOL

We're almost to the single digit dance Wooohoooo!!!!! :-D

Thanks you 2!!! Happy New Years!!!!

*whispers* Can you tell I want the New Year to get here so I can get on with my trip? :-D

Yes and yes, I definately suggest having a list of what you want/need to make things quick and avoid duplications. As for milk and other perishables you will probably want to get a styrafoam cooler and ice as the wdw resorts charge 10+ per day for a fridge - first come first serve.

IMHO a styrafoam cooler works just fine esp if you buy your soda, and juice (we use boxes) warm and chill as needed. Then you can keep the perishables cold in the cooler and chill the rest as needed or cool with ice when drinking. So far we have had no trouble re-icing at the machines in the resorts. Its a great idea to pick up some bottled water as the parks charge 2.50 per bottle.
