Question about Starwood Points

I have a question about Starwood points. I emailed them but they said they are busy so it might take up to 72 hrs., and it's been 3 days so I'm tired of waiting for their response. I wondered if someone here might be able to answer my question.

I know that you can apply frequent flier miles to other members of your immediate family, you just have to make the reservation for them, but what about Starwood points? How would you go about making a reservation for an immediate family member with your points? If no one knows I'll just wait for SPG answer but if anyone can offer experience I'd appreciate it.Thanks!
