question about Starline's Hop on Hop off Double Decker bus

Good afternoon everyone
I am still in the planning stages of our first trip to California for next summer and am trying to decide on different LA/Hollywood tours. We were originally going to stay in Disneyland for 9 days and do a tour to LA and a day trip to Universal, but I am thinking against it now.
What I am looking at now is to stay at the Sheraton Universal for 4 nights and Sheraton Park in Disney for 5 nights. While looking at Starline's tour company website, I seen that they have a Hop on Hop off Double Decker bus and one of the stops is at the Sheraton Universal.
Can we purchase this and use our hotel as the starting point of our tour? Then do we just get off at whatever stop and then hop back on when we are ready? Is that how it works?
Any advice on this tour would be wonderful!!

Yep.

You buy a ticket good for 24 or 48 hours and anytime during their
operating hours you can get on the bus at their designated stops.

Now this isn’t like a city bus so it doesn’t arrive at the stops
with any frequency, but you CAN get off and get on at your
connivence.
