Question about split stays

Dh just decided last night that he wants to stay on property for our Christmas trip, instead of taking our camper like we planned. Way to wait till the last minute honey! Anyway, we'd love to stay in a LM room at AoA. But of course, it being August 22 and all, they're not available for our stay. So we booked ASMo.

I just checked each individual night of our stay. The LM rooms are available the first 2 nights, and the last 2 nights. The middle 4 nights are unavailable.

I've never done a split reservation before. Does it require a whole separate reservation, and therefore a second deposit? I'd love to book AoA for the nights that are available, and just keep checking the other nights for availability. But we don't have the money right now to put down 3 deposits.

I would think that it would just have you do one ressie. With x number of nights at AoA then x number of nights at the other then x number of nights at AoA.

I've done several split stays before, and each "leg" is a separate reservation. So in your case, yes you will be looking at 3 deposits, unfortunately.
