Question about Split Stay

Our current airfare and WDW dates are locked in for 12/7 thru 12/15. But it sounds like FD will only be available starting 12/10.

So if I do a split stay at the same resort (CSR):

12/7 - 12/10 Room Only
12/10 - 12/15 Room, 8 day park hoppers and free dining

My question is: Can I get and use the park hopper tickets upon my arrival on the 7th?

How/where would I get them?

Yes. You will need to pick them up at any guest relations window at a park. They can be picked up no more than 3 days prior to your package check in date.

We had no trouble getting our tickets early and we enjoy a split stay. It gives us a chance to try different Resorts. In the past 5 years we have stayed in at least 10 different Resorts and a few of them more than once! Have a great vacation.

Exactly our case and why we do it. I'm a bit, ok, a LOT crazy to do a triple split again (we did it once, before kids), but I just WANTED to do all 3 resorts this time since we thought we wouldn't be back until 2016.
