I am planning a trip this fall, and we are breaking the "Disney" portion up with three days at Universal. I know we're staying on-site at Universal for the Universal days and that we are staying at AKL for the last few nights, but we're up in the air on the first several nights, and I want to be sure I don't screw something up.
At this point, we are undecided about whether we are going to stay on-site or off-site the first few days, and I think I am going to make the reservation for on-site to to ensure I can get the room we want if that's what we decide to do.
If we get to our 180 window from that first reservation and I book ADRs, I know I can book 180+10 (or in my case 180+5, since that's how long the first stay will be), and then at 180 out from the AKL dates, I can book the days we're staying there. But what happens if at 90 days out we decide we want to stay off site for the first part of the trip? (I know we'd be better off committing to on-site vs. off-site before that 180-day mark, but I don't think that's going to happen and I want to know what to expect.)
1. Do I lose the ADRs made for the AKL portion of the trip? (I assume not, but want to make sure).
2. Do I lose the ADRs made for the first portion of the trip? (I assume not here as well, but I can also see this not being the case and creating real problems for me, since at 90 days out, many of the tough reservations will be impossible to recreate.)
