Question about split stay between cash/points ressie at same resort

We have 1 night at BCV cash stay before a 6 night point stay. Do they usually allow you to stay in the same room (both are studios)? Do I need to check in at desk upon arrival and request this?

Also- do we still get charged parking for that 1 night before our point stay begins?( We are not owners, but instead rented the points.)

You do not need to pay for parking. But when DVC owners stay cash, sometimes it gets added by the system since it misses you are DVC but they will remove it if it does.

ETA. You pay for parking for cash. Missed you were not owners.

Definitely go to the front desk and see if you have been slotted for the same room. They do try to keep you in the same one. But when you arrive is the best time to find out so if you are not, that is when they might be able to change things n

You may have to go to the front desk the next day since it’s cash/DVC to check out and back in.

Since you are not DVC Members, you will have to pay for parking for the 1 night cash reservation. You will not have to pay for parking for the rented points reservation.
